Penrith is a different proposition from the Hills District, and it is worth being straightforward about that. We are based in Bella Vista. Penrith is not around the corner.

What that means in practice: we do not pretend to be your local Penrith developer. We work with Penrith businesses the way any competent remote team should — most collaboration happens on calls and shared screens, and we come out when there is a real reason to, usually discovery and launch.

Why that is often fine

For most app projects, physical proximity matters far less than responsiveness and being in the same time zone. The things that genuinely go wrong on app projects — misunderstood requirements, slow feedback loops, nobody available when something breaks — are not solved by being twenty minutes away. They are solved by short iterations and someone answering the phone during your working day.

The exceptions are real though. If your app depends on observing a physical process — a warehouse flow, a workshop, a site inspection — then somebody needs to stand there and watch it. We budget for that rather than guessing.

What Penrith businesses build

  • Field and trades apps — job dispatch, on-site capture, offline-tolerant sync
  • Logistics and transport tooling, where the user is in a vehicle, not at a desk
  • Customer booking for local service businesses
  • Internal apps that replace paper still being carried around a worksite

Offline tolerance is worth calling out. An app that assumes constant connectivity will fail somewhere in the field, and it will fail at the moment someone is trying to record work they have just finished.

We build iOS, Android and cross-platform apps, have been doing mobile development since 2015, and have delivered for this region — including a patient app for a Hills District psychology practice. If you want a number before speaking to anyone, there is an app cost calculator, and we have written up Flutter versus React Native for Australian teams.

What it costs

  • Essential: $10,000 – $20,000 — core functionality for a small business
  • Professional: $20,000 – $40,000 — advanced features and integrations
  • Enterprise: $40,000+ — complex multi-platform systems

Ranges, not quotes. What moves a project between them is usually integration — an app that stands alone is far cheaper than one that has to talk to your booking system, your accounting package and your existing database.
